HOLISTIC PRACTICE
PHILOSOPHY
” I support the people's revolution for self care.
There is a global movement for the liberation of all beings; and it involves our evolution and awakening.
It starts with 'self-care' on an individual level, the sum of which creates collective change.
What is 'self-care'?
Self-care is putting yourself first; (and it isn't selfish!)
Your health, happiness, and personal passion projects; it's loving yourself - first. We cannot show up with our cups empty; we must approach the altar of life with our cups overflowing with the essence of God, a river fed by source.
I am a full spectrum doula! I run my practice from the river of source, and when I'm not tapped in - I cannot do my work.
As an Advanced Clinical Herbalist practicing tongue & pulse diagnostics, as yoga teacher, sister, friend, and beloved; I have devoted the last decade of my life to studying and understanding the human body, women's health in the childbearing years; and therapies that assist us in feeling our best. Feeling my best, is an everyday practice.
Self-care is essential for pregnancy and birth, it is ESSENTIAL postpartum, and it is baseline for healing your body and your mind. When you are in love with yourself, your cup runneth over and you can show up for your community, your family, your life....
It can be uncomfortable in an unkind world to truly feel good. There’s so much emphasis on the look of things; I find the ease of life comes with the respect for that which is felt. Those emotions and energies that arise when we tune into our essence.
I believe feeling good is not a state of arrival; but a lifelong practice. I draw this belief and the lifestyle it demands from the evidence based teachings of: Western Herbalism, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Functional Herbalism, TCM, Yoga, and The Midwifery Model of Care. The thread that binds these teachings together being the mind body connection. It can be as simple as morning meditation, expressing yourself through art , dance, yoga, just moving your body with your breath. Loving yourself and your community, and eating foods specific to your own internal universe. I just want to help folks feel; we deserve to live everyday with energy, poise, and an open heart. Ask me how!”
